Garth deck list for shadow era12/29/2023 In fact, I am still thinking about the characters. This one took my forever to get into, but once I did I found that I really liked it. A Breath of Frost by Alyxandra Harvey. This volume had more alien action, a shocking twist, and a cliffhanger ending. This sequel to Mothership (which I LOVED) was just as much fun. It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Book Journey and Teach Mentor Texts.īoy, did I have an awesome reading week! Hm, lots of aliens here. Lots to look forward to! And I have some great books to work on (and I just finished some awesome books too!) Here’s a quick look at what I have been reading: I am taking a new yoga class tonight, tomorrow I have my D & D kids at the library, and Friday I am finally going to see Catching Fire. After barely working at all last week this week is going to be a real shock to the system! I’m not scared this week is going to be awesome. Better Off Friendsby Elizabeth Eulberg is due out in February, so I will have a review up later, but I will say it was wonderful! I loved the alternating POV and banter between Levi and Macallan. This one slowly drew me in and I ended up really liking it. The six teens forge a bond that lasts a lifetime. The Interestingsby Meg Wolitzer follows a group of people who meet at an art camp in 1974.This is the first is a trilogy and I did not love it, but Nix is a compelling storyteller and I am confident things will pick up. When he goes missing Sabriel must leave the comfort of her boarding school and venture into the Old Kingdom to find him. Sabriel is the daughter of the Abhorsen, the powerful necromancer charged with keeping the dead where they belong. Sabriel by Garth Nix was a little confusing and slow to start. This will inevitably be compared to Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, which is fair enough. Full of the worry and excitement of leaving home for the first time, this was a charming story. Through an exchange of emails, two young women assigned to be college roommates get to know each other. One or two buffs from this make even a Nightshade able to kill just about anything with Garth 's ability, and I've found that it's a great first turn play.Roomies by Sara Zarr and Tara Altebrando was quite fun. The Last Harvest has also proven to be very useful. I'll often find myself drawing upwards of 4 cards in a turn thanks to them, and that often gives me the answers I need to end the game. Repaid in Full is the all star of the deck. ![]() And the life gain has come in handy more than once. I tend to have a lot of cards in hand (a good problem to have) and honored dead clogs less. I tried Honored Dead over Road Less Travelled and so far I like it. I most often play it without using its ability, but later in the game it can be useful for keeping spelleater bands or cutlass around. Since I'm running 16 cards that draw (not even including fleet-footed messenger) I figure I'm probably okay in terms of consistency. I had this deck at 40 cards for awhile, but I ran into the problem of running out of cards before I could deal enough damage to win, especially against Zaladar. Hi all! Long time (on and off) player, first time poster! Thought I'd share my latest deck, since I made the last few changes I've won 9 of the last 10 games (my rating has gone up from like 230 to 245 as I've been modifying it throughout the day) so I would say it is pretty successful.
